Core Services provide management services, asset management and support services to the establishments and assets (buildings/equipment) across the RPC(C) region. It is also referred to as the operational delivery arm of the contract – this is split into the following job types:
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)The main aim of Planned Preventative Maintenance is to comply with statutory legislation and prolong the life of an asset. It is delivered through WorkManager* with the assistance of the Asset Management Team. This team is made up of a management team and site controllers who together maintain details of the establishments and assets via the asset register, and provide support, information and links through processes to the other job types in CarillionEnterprise. Response Maintenance (RESP)Response Maintenance is where a call is made to the Helpdesk in Speke because something has failed or is broken and repairs need to be made. Response Maintenance is split into six rectification categories dependant on the urgency and criticality of the building or piece equipment.
Grounds MaintenanceThe grounds maintenance teams look after the following on each of the sites on the RPC(C) estate, covering a combined area of 37,000 hectares and covers: shrub pruning, snow and ice clearance, weed control, airfield maintenance, seasonal bedding, hedge cutting, litter and leaf clearance, water course maintenance, sports pitch maintenance, artificial sports pitch maintenance, playground inspections, and maintenance of SSSIs (Sites of Special Scientific Interest), pest control and trees. There are other services which come under the Core Services banner, including: CAD and the AP/AE Teams. Computer Aided Design (CAD)The CAD team provides a range of accurate information via computer drawings to support all areas of the contract. Here is a short list of useful drawings that can be requested from the team: Site Layouts, Site Services, Grounds Maintenance, Snow & Ice Clearing, Hazardous Areas, Tree Surveys, Spill Plans and Sustainability Maps Authorised Person (AP) and Authorised Engineer (AE)The strict safety rules and procedures we work under requires us to provide the services of AEs and APs. AEs monitor and audit work carried out by APs to make sure they comply with the safety rules set out by Defence Estates and the Ministry Of Defence. |
